https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=387881 Summary: yast cannot install java-plugin on a 64bit-system Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Java AssignedTo: bnc-team-java@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: philippniehues@yahoo.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Hallo, I installed 64bit openSUSE 10.3 via DVD. It installs java-1_5_0 without the plugin. After that you must install the multimedia including java-plugin. This plugin is 32bit only, so yast gets a conflict, because 64bit is already installed. It cannot solve it. The only possiblity is not to use the java-plugin, but that's not the best solution. It would be much better to exchange the javas (similar to the xine-libs) and to use the 32bit one for the hole system. Then the plugin+nspluginwrapper and everything should work fine (especially because there are some java-libs missing in the 64bit one)... Workaround: step-by-step manually removing (64) and installing (32) Bye -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
