LOL. Not very likely. I guess there was a reason why you switched to proprietary ones before.
The reason was that noveau did not support to play sound via DisplayPort... seems that works not and the Nvidia implementation is buggy, for example I need to plug/unplug it after resuming or everytime the screen switched to powersave mode or otherwise I can't hear sound playing anymore... but thats a differnet issue..
The only package with nvidia in the name that is still installed is: "kernel-firmware-nvidia". But that is a package from our OSS repo, is that the one in question?
This is the firmware needed and used by nouveau driver.
Anything else I should look for?
I would say go back to G06 nvidia proprietary drivers completely. Let me know how this goes ...
