https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=436227 Summary: KNetworkManager: WPA Enterprise - does not ask for the password Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: burnus@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Bug 331864 seems to be related but talks about VPN. If one configures KNetworkManager for WPA Enterprise, there is a field "Password" if one fills this in, the password is written in clear to $HOME/.kde/share/config/knetworkmanagerrc However, if one does not set the password, no dialog pops up at connection time but one finds only in the log: NetworkManager: <WARN> get_secrets_cb(): Couldn't get connection secrets: Requested setting is empty. Expected: It is made clear in the dialog that the password is saved in the config file and if one leaves it empty, one is asked (e.g. every time or via KWallet only once) for the password when one connects. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
