My CUPS printing from networked servers has stopped working since upgrading to
openSUSE 13.1. I tried modifying the .socket file to listen to the correct
network address as suggested above, but that only works about 50% of the time.
The rest of the time the sockets are started before the network is completely
up and can not bind to the network address.
E [08/Feb/2014:10:22:58 -0500] Unable to bind socket for address
10.168.1.10:631 - Cannot assign requested address.
When I tried to add a network.target requirement, the system went into a
systemd loop at start up and failed to start.
As the original poster, I was also distressed to find CUPS listening on a bunch
of ports that I has specifically disabled in the cups.conf file.
For now, I have to start CUPS manually after a reboot.
This does not seem like progress.
