Just checked with openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 5, and the gnome-power-manager works
correctly there. Shows the correct charging status and applies the correct
settings. So this is a problem only with 11.2
Also, if I may add, despite my lack of technical know-how in this regard, that
this seems like a devkit-power issue. Indeed log-out and log-in does not show
the correct status in 11.2 as I originally stated, but shows a completely
charged status instead which too is incorrect. Only restarting does correct the
problem.
