https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=343242#c12 --- Comment #12 from Mike Wells <mike_wells@cox.net> 2007-11-29 23:46:15 MST --- Found the remote printer data file in /var/cache/cups. It is automatically generated each and every time the CUPS web interface is invoked. How do we stop that from happening? I do NOT want a printer that I can NOT manage. Hell, I do NOT want this printer whether I can manage it or not! Due to my ignorance re CUPS I can not even figure out what to do with it. All I know is that nothing comes out of my "real" printer when this one is around. The file is attached. And, I am sorry about the multiple comments but please read my last 3. This one and Comments 10 & 11. I agree wholeheartedly with you on using "hp-setup" to install HP printers. I started with YaST back in 9.1 but discovered hp-setup in 9.3 (I think). Under normal conditions using hp-setup always gets you the HP-Toolbox setup too. But, I have always been successful going with either one - until NOW! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
