Sorry, the logs are useless. Please attach the full output of lshal.
Attached above.
2) What means brightness control don't work? Do you mean the brightness keys or do you mean e.g. change the brightness via KPowersave or g-p-m (GNOME) doesn't work?
A little info on the behavior of KPowersave. If the AC power cable is disconnected the display dims and when reconnected the display brightens. That seems to be fine. I did, however, have an issue once where I had used the brightness keys in Windows (it's a dual-boot machine) to dim the display. When I went back to Linux the display was still dimmed and had no way to change it. Brightened it when back in Windows and it remained bright in Linux. I suspect that's due to the brightness keys not working.
2.1) If you mean the brightness keys: please start 'lshal -m' press the brightness keys and attach the output to this bug
I ran the 'lshal -m' and pressed the keys but no output was generated, just the "Start monitoring devicelist:" text, nothing when the brightness keys were pressed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
