I tested now. When I place the icons more to the left (leaving free 10 cm or
two rows on the right) they don't move after a logout/in and stay where they
were.
Still, for a moment a scroll bar appears to the right, but disappears
immediately and the icons are on their position.
So somehow when starting a session, KDE or X thinks my screen is smaller.
I truly hope somebody will look at this annoying bug. Since KDE lost the
ability to place icons freely on the desktop and having only a limited number
of fixed squares, the loss of two rows is much. Also it doesn't look nice
having all on the left.
I expect from a desktop system that the complete screen is usable.
