http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1169809 Bug ID: 1169809 Summary: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request / running zypper Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: obs@akr.yagii.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 836063 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=836063&action=edit kernel messages Execution of a zypper search resulted in a stuck zypper process which could not be stopped via ^C or ^Z. One CPU was shown by htop at 100% load, but no zypper in the process list. No significant swap use was shown. The system has 15.3GB RAM and 15.3GB swap, which is also used for hibernation. The evening before I executed a large "tar xzf" from a sshfs mount to local disk and the system kept running through the night. Resolution required a reboot. The system has been updated with 'zypper up' yesterday. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
