--- Comment #83 from Marius Tomaschewski
Just to answer the few previous questions:
No, the router was not off or rebooting plus the DHCP server in that router was working via ethernet cable right before starting this test.
I just see in the log, that it needed > 40 secs to get a lease from this router over the cable (eth0): start at 18:25:36, got IP at 18:26:18... I'm using a Fritz!Box 7270 as AP with dhcp on a linksys connected to it via cable and get an IP in <= 1 second. But this was an eth0 interface and IMO a different story.
Also I did try but forgot to mention this setup running on windows on the same computer going to the same AP (so only difference was windows vs linux) and it didn't miss a beat. Plus as I've said, the same machine works under Opensuse 10.3 perfectly.
Yes, as far as I see, there is a problem with the driver so the association with the AP breaks. See also comment #79, Klaus can reproduce similar problems -- even if there is a difference: deauthenticated vs. disassociate.
Sorry about not attaching above, I believe the instructions I was sent to read said not to attach things, thought sounds like I must have misread that.
Not a problem, never mind. I didn't asked to attach, just to provide. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
