--- Comment #6 from Raymond Wooninck 2011-10-13 05:28:59 UTC ---
This morning I got a couple of steps further. I tested my system with a liveCD
of Fedora 16 (with systemd v35 on it) and there things went fine. No issues
when shutting down.
This made me build locally several builds of systemd v37 to disable/enable the
suse-specific patches. The issue did not occur when disabling all patches and
after enabling the patches one by one, I found the offending patch.
%patch10 0001-service-Fix-dependencies-added-when-parsing-insserv..patch seems
to cause the issue on my system. With this patch enabled, the system hangs when
trying to shutdown or to reboot. IF this patch is disabled, then the system
behaves as it should.
Looking at the changelog, then this patch was activated at the moment that we
switched to v36, so this would explain why it didn't occur with version 34.
The remaining question is if this patch is only not working for me due to
something specific on my system or that this is a more general issue. I am not
sure what this patch does, but maybe you could give me some hints what to check
on my system.
Thanks
Raymond
