http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=968720 Bug ID: 968720 Summary: zypper in --recommends fails to select all pkg Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp Assignee: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: ohering@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 667176 --> http://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=667176&action=edit zypper-in-recommends-mpv.txt Fresh TW snapshot, minimal server selection. As shown in the attached logs, zypper in --recommends pkg will select recommended packages only if the main pkg comes from the oss repo. If pkg comes from packman the recommended 'youtube-dl' is not selected. The same bug happens with vlc and its vlc-codecs subpkg, even in SLE12. My expectation is that --recommends always selects what is recommended, no matter where pkg comes from. In this case mpv ist just a _link to OBS, so the resulting mpv.rpm is identical modulo the codecs (or whatever). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
