A newly rendered frame overlaps a previously rendered frame, creating a torn
look as edges of objects (such as fast moving bodies, human faces, dynamic and
fast changing of lightning as is in the 'Whitesnake' video above) fail to line
up in time.
The flickering (maybe the term "tearing" is more precise in my case) mostly
occurs when:
1. The picture is fast changed
2. The lightning is fast changed (from complete darkness to maximum lightness)
3. The objects are rapidly changing its position on the screen in the different
scenes
I can record my desktop and maybe you will be capable of directly seeing what I
see. I'm not quite sure about this.
And I do not know whether this is 'nonsense' but there is not any tearing when
watching local video files and using Xv with 'radeon' driver (and there isn't
tearing since version 6.1*.* of this driver, I believe, based on my
experience).
