Thanks for your report and efforts to investigate this problem. By the way
could you confirm you have the problem on legacy bios as well ? (from your
report it did ..)
I think we need to sort out the problem as how the grub device is mapped to
UEFI device path and how they are ordered. If I remember correctly, it's by the
order of device list returned by querying firmware about devices that supports
blokio protocol, which could be rather dependent on firmware(bios) IMHO.
That is to say I think it's possible on some other hardware your booted USE
device is (hd1) and your hard disk device is (hd0), so the "Boot from Hard
Disk" works on those hardware.
I'm now away from my UEFI work environment and will do the work once I can (it
would be next week ...).
Jeffrey, please help me, to verify that "Boot from Hard Disk" function on live
USB on the UEFI laptops we have ?
