I won't fix this for KDE 3 as the problem affects already existing calendars
only. First runs of KOrganizer do take the system timezone, for a few releases
already, and users like yourself can set the timezone retrospectively.
The problem in changing the settings for an existing set of calendars is that
existing events (in localtime) would have to be rescheduled at first run with
the new setting, and I'm not going to make that kind of invasive change to KDE
3.
For KDE 4 we are using KDateTime, which includes a timezone, so this setting
will go away and new datetimes will default to the current system timezone but
it will be possible to choose a different one.
