Hi,
my BIOS offers no possibility to set the pci latency timer, but I found
the linux-utility setpci.
With the command
setpci -v -s 00:0a latency_timer=60
I increased the latecncy timer from 40H to 60H and started the badblocks test.
The test faild after reading of 277 Gigabytes from the USB2 Harddisk.
see last part of /var/log/messages in file messages-red-lat60.gz (gzip Format).
I will repeat the test with latency_timer increased to 90H.
(Runtime about 3 days)
