http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=964562 Bug ID: 964562 Summary: Laptop reboots instead of shutting down Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: hotmusicfan@mail.bg QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello! I saw another bug with this case here: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=955096 but decided to file a new one because I am using the 4.4.x kernel. My laptop is HP ProBook 4540s with UEFI and disabled secure boot. I am using encrypted LVM (LUKS+XFS) and I have tried everything to shutdown my laptop (disabling wake on LAN, trying shutdown commands from terminal) but the problem does not goes away. It is interesting that the problem exists when the laptop runs on battery power and has to be powered off. The only way is the 'hard' shutdown with the power button. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
