digiKam used to be a core application of KDE.
No. Digikam never was a "core application of KDE", it is a 3rd party application that happens to use the KDE libraries for its user interface. But that's just a side-note. ;-)
Is there any reason that digiKam would not be a default KDE application anymore? Should we add it back?
It is true that it was installed by default in previous openSUSE versions. And it is still part of the kde_imaging pattern in Factory AFAICS, like before. No idea at the moment why it wouldn't be installed by default then. I suppose I have to a fresh Tumbleweed install. Did you maybe disable the installation of "recommended" packages? How exactly did you install Tumbleweed, i.e what image did you use? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
