However: There is a ACPI driver for Omnibook/Toshiba laptops (http://omnibook.sourceforge.net) which could help. Friderike, can you please give a try and report back if it helps? If so, please file a new bug and ask for inclusion of this driver. Unfortunately this is probably not that easy as the driver does not ship with the upstream Linux kernel. But we might be able to create a KMP package.
