Transfer seems to almost completely hose the KDE desktop, it took 3 minutes for Amarok to start while transfer is active. Load during transfer seems to vary from 3-4. PPC Mac mini sending the data is next to idle. Machine is Asus A8N based A64 3800+ X2 with 2GB of ram and 700GB worth of diskspace. Disk being transferred to reports udma mode6 (udma6) and is mounted in /home (250GB Maxtor SATA disk).
