https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=228290 ------- Comment #1 from aleksander.adamowski.novell@altkom.pl 2006-12-13 09:44 MST ------- What's interesting, when I went back from bootloader installation, the installer got straight to installed system reboot stage, and it has succeeded, so GRUB apparently was set up. I changed the installation location to MBR, though, before hitting "back". Hitting "Finish" was still givine the "Bad file or directory type" at that moment. So the precise sequence of steps for me was: 1) messed with some additional bootloader settings (debug mode, generic boot code) 2) tried "Finish", got the "Bad file or directory type" error 3) undone the changes to the settings 4) changed boot loader location to MBR 5) tried "Finish", got the "Bad file or directory type" error 6) chose "start from scratch" 7) after noticing that all entries were cleared, hit "Back" in hope of trying entering boot loader setup again 8) after hitting "Back", got the "reboot installed system" stage, no way to enter GRUB setup again 9) rebooted the virual machine - GRUB worked fine. I didn't have the time to test whether GRUB would boot like this without changing anything during its setup. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
