First of all, this is the same behavior as in 11.0 so claiming "update from
11.0 breaks" is wrong.
Both real OSes that people use have the exact same behavior. Linux just wasn't
able to do so prior to NM 0.7. Now that it is, people notice it, don't
understand it, and call our code horrible.
Yes, you are right, ubuntu does get it, and they do not change that behavior.

What is confusing to regular user? That his running TCP connections don't get
hung up just because they wanted to speed up a file transfer and plugged in the
cable?
Do you actually have a reason to call it broken? What doesn't work for you? A
broken behavior from the past? Or is there a real issue? Why is a problem that
the wireless device stays activated when a wired device is plugged in? All the
new TCP traffic will go through the fastest device (but you already knew that,
because otherwise, without reading the code, you wouldn't have called the code
horrible, right?).
