https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=467362 Summary: Package rrdtool-1.3.4-1.26 renders unuseable graphics Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jo@feuersee.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.5; Linux 2.6.25.18-0.2-default; X11) KHTML/3.5.10 (like Gecko) SUSE The rrdtool pakage shipped with openSUSE 11.1 creates graphics which lack some mandatory features. As a result applications using rrdtool or it's librarys produce unexpected/unusable results. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. cd /usr/share/doc/packages/rrdtool/examples 2. ./stripes.pl 3. inspect the generated stripes.png Actual Results: - rrdtool doesn't use a monospaced font. This breaks compatibility with monitoring software like nagios or munin where multiple sources are plotted and the numeric results displayed in a table like format. With a proportinal font, the table colums do not align which makes them very hard to read. Besides the font used is harder to read than the default VeraMono.ttf - The font is not antialiased - Vertical and horizontal scales are displayed in a dotted line style which again decreases readability Expected Results: I would have expected that the results would be like openSUSE 11.0 rrdtool-1.2.27-22.1 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
