That is not possible because there is no keyboard via KVM switch.
Log in via network, serial console, or use a different keyboard also while connected to the KVM switch.
I can't boot via KVM switch, the computer is down.
Do you have a second keyboard? If yes, boot without KVM switch at first with plugging your keyboard directly to a USB port. Then, plug you KVM switch (with another keyboard), and check whether it works. Even if the keyboard over KVM won't work, the directly plugged one should keep working. Alternatively, you can re-plug the keyboard while running the hwinfo in the background on a terminal after some delay, e.g. sleep 30; hwinfo > hwinfo.out (don't forget to run it as root). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
