That though many of the installed packages are available on DVD. That simply annoys in case that you have a broadband connection but it will render your system almost unusable for lower speed internet connections. For modem internet connectivity there should be an option to install the old package versions from DVD in order then only having to download a delta/patch rpm instead of the whole package again.
