https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=387459 Summary: [mass storage] nokia n95 keeps remounting after "safe removal" Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Hotplug AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kristjan.ugrin@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I have problems with nokia n95 when I connect it to computer. First problem is that device is horrendously crashing / rebooting, but that is fixable by adding an udev rule: SUBSYSTEM=="block", SUBSYSTEMS=="scsi", ATTRS{model}=="Nokia N95", RUN+="/bin/sh -c '/bin/echo 64 > /sys/block/%k/queue/max_sectors_kb'" and it helps - no more device crashing. The next one I'm unable to solve. When I click "safely remove" from KDE - the device should dismount, show a message on its display (you can now unplug usb cable) and wait like that until you remove usb cable. But this message very quickly dissapears, since linux remounts it. So everytime I choose "safely remove" it gets always remounted - and only way is to disconnect it in "unsafe" way - it already crashed my mmc partition (phone always complains also about such dangerous removals). Here is output log from dmesg (I clicked "safely remove" a couple of times): http://files.myopera.com/kriko/files/n95 Device is working properly under windows. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
