The ACPI error messages are mostly harmless, indicating the BIOS firmware error, not a kernel problem, per se. You can ignore it unless you see any real problems related with it. Ah OK, thanks.
About the boot time, try to install the old Leap 42.3 kernel (with --oldpackage option), boot with it, and give the dmesg output. Then we can compare the timestamps. Good idea. I just did so, and it looks like the old Leap 42.3 kernel is actually a few seconds *slower* to boot when compared with the Leap 15.0 version. I do still think feel like the system is slower to boot than before, but it's probably not a kernel issue, and no easy way to verify the previous boot time with 42.3.
