Bug ID: 1136772 Summary: Kernel bug triggered when mounting btrfs file system Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: firstname.lastname@example.org Reporter: email@example.com QA Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org Found By: --- Blocker: ---

The btrfs file system on the system disk suddenly got damaged. The reason is unknown. Subsequent attempts to reboot and mount led to messages in the system log: kernel BUG at fs/btrfs/ctree.h:3524! Using a recent rescue disk didn't really help. I attached the output of dmesg. I was trying to mount the disk using the tumbleweed rescue disk. 'btrfs scrub' was not helpful. I can mount the file system on the disk, but I can't do anything useful with it. All operations seem to block.
Any ideas what I could do with this file system are welcome
