Created an attachment (id=552712)
--> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=552712)
file from env LD_DEBUG=all ./calibre run in /opt/calibre
Now this becomes more puzzling. I had first used calibre's own installer from
http://download.calibre-ebook.com/0.9.43/calibre-0.9.43-i686.tar.bz2
I installed it with the command:
"sudo rm -rf /opt/calibre/* && sudo tar xvjf
/internal/home_12.3/howard/Downloads/calibre-0.9.43-i686.tar.bz2 -C
/opt/calibre"
which puts in the /opt/calibre directory. I ran "env LD_DEBUG=all ./calibre"
(note the ./) in the /opt/calibre directory. Calibre failed to run, and the
terminal output is in the attachment.
I started checking the files you listed above and found the latest version of
calibre is in
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/openSUSE_Factory/. I
installed that and it works. It is in the /usr directory and autoinstalled the
following packages:
calibre-icons-branding-upstream
libwmf-tools
podofo
python-Babel
python-CherryPy
python-Genshi
python-beautifulsoup
python-clientform
python-cssselect
python-cssutils
python-dateutil
python-dnspython
python-lxml
python-mechanize
python-netifaces
python-odfpy
python-pypdf
python-six
sqlite3
I'll report this behavior to the calibre developer.
Thanks,
Howard
