http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1088286 Bug ID: 1088286 Summary: Leap 15.0 Build 189.1, no keyboard functionality at all, only mouse, bootup shows failed something virtual console Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: abittner@opensuse.org QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Leap 15.0 Build 189.1, no keyboard functionality at all, only mouse, bootup shows failed something virtual console just installed a fresh leap 15.0 189.1 via iso/usb stick from scratch fresh partitions swap, / and /home fresh everything. install went smoothly, but first boot into the installed system, after the retpoline mitigation message on top of the console, it shows various progress entries from services and components with the green [ OK ] or so, and then some red [ Failed ] or so briefly flickers into visibility and vanishes again thereafter. The Logon screen of KDE/X appears, but I can only move the mouse (usb) around, but I can not enter a password there, keyboard (usb) doesnt work, virtual keyboard symbol isnt clickable (?) either numlock, numlock led doesnt work/switch either, ctrl+alt+backspace multiple times doesnt help either. previous builds, of leap 15.0 didnt have this major loss of functionality. only have usb mouse/keyboard here, wouldnt know if that helped anything but I strongly suspect that this read fail message about virtual console or so has something got to do with this bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
