--- Comment #54 from Thomas Renninger
Does the standard 10.3 kernel go into C4 on this machine? Probably not, there is also no real need to test, there shouldn't have changed much, in fact C4 is similar to C3 (it hurts to wake up from it very often).
Yes, it is unknown why we get a spurious interrupt. Might it be an ACPI issue? I doubt it, ACPI just tells which device should get which IRQ and how it has to be set up. Once it is set up, ACPI has nothing to do with it anymore. As said I don't know much about it, but the interrupt is happening on the ehci interrupt line, right? Could it be that this one is intended and sent by the ehci controller? But this controller on the latest Lenovos is that new that the ehci driver does not understand it and cannot handle it correctly (yet)? I am still on SLED testing/implementing which is very time pressing, I can give latest kernels a test, maybe at beginning of next week.
Does /proc/interrupts keep increasing after you see the "Shutting up FLR interrupt" ? Good catch. That is what I am anxious about...
