Till I was on openSUSE 12.2, I used a Globalsat BT-338X GPS via bluetooth with gpsbabel without problems. This is a gps logger, and logged data can be downloaded to the SUSE box using something like this: ---- rfcomm bind 0 00:0D:B5:38:BA:C6 gpsbabel -i dg-100 -f /dev/rfcomm0 -o gpx -F output.gpx ---- Sometimes I already had the following two errors: ---- unknown answer ID 12 ---- or: ---- dg100_recv_byte(): read timeout ----- But in case those errors occurred, I just had to re-try and it worked like a charm second (or at rare occasions -- third) time. However, since I upgraded to openSUSE 12.3, now I get a different error message: ---- Expected to read 106 bytes, but got 105 ---- And I have no way to download the gps track. If I boot an openSUSE 12.2 live dvd on the same machine, download works again. In case bluetooth hardware counts, this is on a Lenovo ThinkPad T520. The bluetooth hardware otherwise looks OK, e.g. I can send files from my phone to the laptop without problems.
