Since I use VLC for all my media playing/streaming needs, I unchecked the kaffeine package during installation and decided to install VLC later. This setup works fine, except for the fact that Apper now gives me some annoying notifications about an update for 'kde3-kaffeine', which isn't even installed on this system.
'zypper up' does not show 'kde3-kaffeine' in the update list, so I suspect that this is a PackageKit/pk-backend-zypp problem rather than a libzypp problem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Remove the 'kaffeine' package 2. Search for updates using Apper 3. Watch Apper offer the bogus update
Expected Results: Apper offers updates for installed packages only, more or less mirroring the behavior of 'zypper update'
