First, thank you for your immediate reply.
Your /etc/init.d/o2cb script does change the /etc/sysconfig/o2cb and also
starts o2cb service with /sys/o2cb/heartbeat_mode set to user
BUT
you cannot stop o2cb, reconfig heartbeat_mode to its default (disk !), and
restart o2cb without rebooting the machine.
But nevertheless, usermode heartbeat does not work. If heartbeat_mode=disk, I
can mount a volume, if heartbeat_mode=user, I cant (w. following message
displayed):
# mount -t ocfs2 /dev/evms/cls1/data /data
ocfs2_hb_ctl: Unable to access cluster service while starting heartbeat
mount.ocfs2: Error when attempting to run /sbin/ocfs2_hb_ctl: "Operation not
permitted"
This seems to me that usermode heartbeat isnt correctly supported/implemented
by the kernel.
As mentioned earlier - I need this puppy flying.
