https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=289738 Summary: Warning for .exe and .msi files Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Usability AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kenneth.aar@virkelighet.net QAContact: siegfried.olschner@novell.com Found By: --- I think it would be very clever to make any browser which is told to download a exe or .msi file to popup a window telling the user: "You are downloading a .exe or .msi file. This is a file which most likely is for use with the Microsoft Windows platform and problably won't work on SUSElinux. If you are trying to install software; Use YAST instead. If you know what you are doing you can of course try to run the file with WINE. Have fun!" -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
