--- Comment #11 from Vadim Krevs 2013-04-25 12:40:45 UTC ---
Here you go:
Logged on into KDE, removed /var/run/nologin and then:
systemctl start auditd.service
auditctl -w /run
auditctl -w /var/run
Then I dropped to runlevel 3. /var/run/nologin is back, nothing mentions
"nologin" in /var/log/audit.log, and, most surprisingly, the audit log end with
the halt message. Ran "systemctl status auditd.service" and it confirmed that
the auditd service is no longer running. So "init 3" disabled auditd????
Ok, deleted /var/run/nologin again, re-executed the above to enable auditd, and
performed a "zypper -v up". /var/run/nologin is back again, and audit.log only
mentions it in reference to the ls command used to check for its presence.
Deleted /var/run/nologin again, ensured auditd is running, and did an init 5,
and logged on into KDE. Result:
1. "init 5" also disabled auditd.
2. audit.log does not mention "nologin" anywhere.
3. Output of "systemctl status systemd-user-sessions.service" is below:
systemd-user-sessions.service - Permit User Sessions
Loaded: loaded
(/usr/lib/systemd/system/systemd-user-sessions.service; static)
Active: active (exited) since Wed, 2013-04-10 12:44:22 BST; 2 weeks
and 1 days ago
Docs: man:systemd-user-sessions.service(8)

CGroup: name=systemd:/system/systemd-user-sessions.service
