https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=463716 Summary: formula cannot be input with range using one cell both absolutely and relatively Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mattm3a@yahoo.com QAContact: kyu@novell.com Found By: --- During formula input, a formula is not allowed to have the same cell used both relatively and absolutely. The relative address becomes absolute. The desired result can be achieved by copying and pasting the formula from a different cell. Example: A B 1 5 =sum(A$1:A1) 2 7 =sum(A$1:A2) Column A is a list of values input by user Column B is the desired formula, the subtotal of column A through this row. Entering sum(A$1:A1) results in sum(A$1:A$1) when the formula is typed in and enter is pressed. Workaround: The formula for cell B2 is allowed to be input manually. Copying and pasting the formula to B1 allows the proper formula to be input. Similarly sum($A$1:A1) results in sum($A$1:$A$1), and sum($A1:A1) results in sum($A1:$A1). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
