Seems like I once again spoke "too soon" on this grub2 problem, as once again grub errors out via "Moklist not found" . . . even though yesterday the machine booted to grub just fine.
The "Moklist not found" is very unlikely a grub error and most likely shim.
Today, with no recent upgrades run through . . . it boots to grub rescue?? Seems like it's very difficult for openSUSE to keep a stable grub file?? In this case the machine's only grub listing is Leap 5.5.
The problem is not unstable grub but your MBP system seems to boot invalid efi entry from time to time in that firmware and linux efi boot manager is more related.
@Michael: OK, thanks for the reply on it. So, in other words, this problem will likely come and go, due to the Macintosh "inner nature"?? Still, the intermittent behavior is irritating . . . . I believe that in some of my opensuse installs, "we" (at yr suggestion) did lock shim at some point, maybe a year ago?? Not sure if I did that in this install of Leap . . . . Back into the monitoring of it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
