https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=685058 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=685058#c0 Summary: System does not boot correctly after reboot Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@novell.com ReportedBy: eldeh@web.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 I had an openSuSE 11.2 and updated it to 11.3 and then to 11.4. If I use the command "halt" switch of my PC and start switch it on again, everything works. But if I use the command "reboot", then the system skips the most of runlevel 5 booting phase during the next boot, leaving a system with only text login, without network, locale, etc. It seems, that I can manually start all rc-scripts, but this should have been done automatically by init. If I use systemd instead of sysvinit, then this problem disappears.
