https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=389146 Summary: dhcpcd does not renew leases if starter via /etc/init.d/network (ifup) Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: paca@sci.fi QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I'm using traditional network setup (ifup). When network is started dhcpcd starts up, gets ip lease for 3600 seconds, but after 1 hour internet connectivity is broken. It seems that dhcpdcd is still running. "ps aux | grep dhcpcd" gives: root 8379 0.0 0.0 8116 472 ? Ss 13:44 0:00 /sbin/dhcpcd -D -K -N -t 999999 -h PKONE -c /etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/dhcpcd-hook eth0 If I kill that process, and start dhcpcd from prompt "dhcpcd eth0' my Internet connection stays up, and lease is renewed. I'm running Opensuse 11 Beta 2 (updated to date, problem has been around for week or two). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
