https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812667 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=812667#c0 Summary: speaker volume is 0 after plugging out a headset Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@suse.com ReportedBy: roman@rm-karlstetter.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 After I plug out my headset, I cannot hear anything on my laptop speakers. The reason for this seems to be the speaker volume, which is not reset after plugging out the headset. To workaround, I have to open a shell and use alsamixer, change soundcard and set speaker volume to 100% again, as kmix only shows pulseaudio controls. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Plug in headset, speaker volume is set to 0 (which is ok I think) 2. Plug out headset, speaker volume stays at 0 (should be reset to the value before, i.e. 100 %) # lspci | grep Audio 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) This happens on a Lenovo Thinkpad R61 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
