It isn't the community, it's Novell and as such since the community cannot change the timeline it is the responsibility of the people that enforce that timeline to make sure that the QC is maintained. Mailing list should actually be abolished as it offers no steady way of tracking an issue IMHO and does not sync up with bugzilla where bugs can easily be tracked in many fashions. This is why databases were invented so you don't have to rifle though hundreds of thousands of records before finding the right one. If you offer bugzilla as a way of reporting bugs then it should be used as well for determining what bugs need to be fixed. If it isn't utilized in that fashion then the net worth of even offering bugzilla is 0.
