https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=229249 Summary: ZMD - Software updater - Gathers information from an undefined source Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@tpg.com.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com ZMD - Software updater is trying to get an update source of Refresh Failed: Failed to parse XML metadata: Can't add repository at http://ftp.isu.edu.tw/pub/Linux/SuSE/update/10.1: Cannot create the installation source This source is NOT defined in YAST as an installation source. I have no user control over the installation source as such and in this occasion IDS has been told to DROP all traffic from Taiwan Data Systems IP range 140.117.0.0 - 140.138.255.255 and this constraint will NOT be lifted due to other issues from this IP range. This mirror was originally selected by installation and was removed from installation source. It is clear that I have no control over what ZMD want to get its catalogue from. I have selected the only truly reliable mirror in the region (found after so many others time out) which is included in the installation source and is in the same country as my location. ZMD must obey the information displayed in installation source OR create a new GUI interface for the ability to control it! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
