When I have instaled kernel-trace, the application Rosegarden say to me "System
timer resolution is too low" and application Jack (QJackCtl) does not work
permanently with low latency too.
When I have instaled kernel-rt from repository
http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-jengelh/SUSE-11.1/ or from repository
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/RT/openSUSE_11.1/ all is OK.
If you look directly into:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/RT/openSUSE_11.1/i586/ you
can found there real real-time kernels. If kernel-trace is real-time kernel,
what is kernel-rt_trace? What is different between simple kernel-rt and
kernel-rt_trace, kernel-rt_timing and others? I know, that kernel-rt_pae is
real-time (low latency) kernel with support up to 64 GB memory.
In any case the kernel-trace is not a real-time kernel.
