This issue appeared after a factory update last week. My system boots ok when I remove /home from /etc/fstab. After boot, I can mount it manually and then log in, everything works. But when I add /home partition using yast, which adds it to /etc/fstab, systemd fails to boot. If I enable recovery mode in GRUB, I see these messages: A start job is running for dev-disk-somelongdiskIDpart3.device (for a long time) Timed out waiting for device dev-disk-somelongdiskIDpart3.device [DEPEND] Dependency failed for /home [DEPEND] Dependency failed for Local File Systems Welcome to emergency mode! Then I can do nothing, I have to boot from live media and remove /home partition from /etc/fstab to be able to use my workstation again. When something like this happens, systemd should still allow root to login, and not freeze completely. I attach a list of disabled and masked systemd service files, maybe I need to enable some of them to be able to mount /home? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
