Ok the perl binding we use to interface between ycp and c++ (libstorage)
seems to be broken. This is apparently only the case for ppc, not for other
architectures. The perl bindings use swig for creation of perl/c++ interface.
When I look at the packages under
http://powerpc.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/ppc/ I can see
that there is a swig-2.0.3-8.1.ppc.rpm built "10-Jul-2011 21:15" which
is quite old for distribution 12.2 (everything else is built February or
January 2012).
In addition the architectures that work (tested 12.2 Milestone1 x86_64 and
i586)
contain a newer swig version swig-2.0.4-8.1.x86_64.rpm built
"Thu Dec 15 16:57:06 2011" so I would assume there is a problem building
swig 2.0.4 on ppc which causes YCP/c++ bindings of YaST2 to fail.
Reassigning to swig maintainer.
