http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=539975 Summary: Amarok is not able to fetch lyrics for songs. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 7 Platform: PC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: malv_star@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090909 SUSE/3.5.3-1.2 Firefox/3.5.3 Amarok has a function for fetching lyrics for songs in your playlist that is enabled by default. This function does not appear to work at all in version 2.1.1 that ships with Milestone 7. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Amarok 2. Populate the playlist with valid files (ogg format) 3. Play a song with the central lyrics view open Actual Results: The lyrics window in the centre displays the error message stating that the lyrics could not be fetched and that the user should check their Internet connection. It also displays a TypeObject error. Expected Results: The lyrics should have either been displayed or (if the song is not in the lyrics database), it should mention that this song has no lyrics available online. This issue is a known problem with Amarok version 2.1.1 according to the developers. Suggest updating packages to Amarok 2.2 beta2, which contain fixes for these issues, or removing the default lyrics script and instead using the Ultimate Lyrics script by default. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
