Therefore the behaviour that I can see is as follows: Italian is mistaken for Spanish even if Italian is selected as spellchecker. The default spellchecker is not always respected. Sometimes German is corrected with English. Sometimes the spellcheckers are just "mixed" or give insane or inexistent solutions (like misspelled words in all languages). I have here a sentence were Italian does not know the word "giù" come in "giù per li", "giù al Sud" etc. is not recognized as Italian word and offered as "gin, gis or gil" were gis and gil does not have any sensible meaning. Note: giù (down) is an extremely common Italian word. "un abbraccio" is proposed corrected to "abracijo" which is Spanish. In these condition, changing the corrector to another language e.g. to English has no effect. No change takes place, while e.g. English or Russian are selected, no further word is highlighted, which means the whole system of correction either is blocked or crashed. Kmail 5.5 KDE Plasma 5.8.7 Frameworks 5.32.0 QT 5.6.2 As of bug 1054205 I have installed, due to severe filter failure, the package kmail 17.04.2-8.3. However the aforementioned behaviour was observed as well with the original standard packages delivered with Leap 42.3 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
