Thanks for opening the separate bugreport against KDE/Plasma!
Good idea to test with the installer of the old driver release. In theory it would be possible that the issue with the new driver release is a packaging issue. So if time permits it would be good to verify that the issue also exists with the installer of the new driver.
I just tried with the 525.89.02 version directly from Nvidia site, and I saw the same problems, those are actually evident since the log-in screen, but I logged in just in case and saw the same issues, with one of the screens never working and another one not either most of the times. I switched back to binary 525.85.05 and everything's working again.
