--- Comment #43 from Nick Couchman
Or provide a kernel-xen-compat package that has a kernel that is specifically backward-compatible?
That we already have - kernel-ec2. Just that it comes without any PCI pass-through support.
Okay, I'll give that a try. At this point I don't need any PCI pass-through support for Linux guests, and would gladly settle for that.
For what it's worth, I was able to successfully install openSuSE 13.1 in HVM mode in XenServer, install the kernel-ec2 package, and then convert the domain over to PV mode and boot to that kernel. Seems to be fine, so far, and is an acceptable work-around for me to continue to run/install openSuSE 13.1 inside of XenServer. I'd still prefer a more seamless solution that allows for the install of openSuSE 13.1 in PV mode into XenServer, but I'll take this over nothing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
